CCP English Situational Writing - 22 Jul 2010

Hi pupils of 5B,

Today for CCP we will be familiarising ourselves with another text type in Situational Writing.
Our Focus for today - How to write a NOTICE



So what is a NOTICE.....



1. WHO is it meant for and WHO writes a notice?

A notice is written by an individual,a group,an organization or a body to draw the attention of the readers to a certain issue that needs immediate attention or active participation.


2. How does a NOTICE look like?

-Notice is to be within a box.
-All the relevant details to be given.
-A captivating heading needed.
-The name and the designation of the writer to be given at the end.
-Adhere to the content (6 points)

It's time for you to do your individual notice - refer to the task assigned for today.
Read the content given in the worksheet and write out a notice for the task.
Now try putting it on Microsoft Word with a simple border and a suitable graphic and present to your class.
