Here is the passage:-

When his father 1)disided to go on another exploration, he agreed to take Marco 2)by him. A few years later, Marco Polo, his father, and his father's friend left on a long trip.

Marco Polo discovered many riches of Asia! When he returned, no one 3)beelived his stories. Marco Polo showed them some of the riches he had brought home. That made Marco Polo famous. When Marco was dying, a priest came in 4)her room to ask him if he'd like to admit that his stories were false. Instead, Marco said,"I did not tell half of what I saw".

Marco Polo was a great explorer. Marco was not 5)scaring at all when they left to go on the trip. He was also very determined. Marco Polo was very courageous too. He wasn't scared of the people in the different 6)kuntrys he visited. Marco Polo was a very brave, determined, and courageous explorer.

4B Appreciates Poetry - Part 4

Freddie
by Phil Bolsta

I don’t like doing homework.
I know that it will bore me.
But now I am much happier
’Cause Freddie does it for me!

He greets me at the door each day
When I come home from school.
He just can’t wait to read my books—
I think that’s pretty cool.

I give him all my homework,
Like history and math.
And when he’s done I give him
A nice warm bubble bath!

My grades are so much better now,
Which makes my parents glad.
Freddie is the smartest dog
That I have ever had!

Hi there 4B, hope you enjoyed the featured poem.
So what kind of a poem is this

A narrative poem is one that tells a story. It can be short or long.
It can rhyme or not rhyme.
Narrative poems don't follow too many rules, except that they must tell a story.

Yes, this will be our focus for our lesson today.

We will get to read and listen to more more narrative poems. We will complete some unfinished poems. Lastly, we will also do some comrehension exercises based on a narrative poem. We will also learn from one another through posting comments.

Why are we doing this?

4B Appreciate's Poetry - Part 1

My Teacher Took My iPod
by Kenn Nesbitt

My teacher took my iPod.

She said they had a rule:
I couldn’t bring it into class or even to the school.

She said she would return it;
I’d have it back that day.
But then she tried my headphones on
and gave a click on “Play.”

She looked a little startled,
but after just a while,
she made sure we were occupied
and cracked a wicked smile.

Her body started swaying.
Her toes began to tap.
She started grooving in her seat
and rocking to the rap.

My teacher said she changed her mind.
She thinks it’s now okay
to bring my iPod into class.
She takes it every day.
